When you arrive, you will be greeted by a member of staff and taken through the cryotherapy suite, we will ensure you have completed a consultation form to make sure you are safe for the treatment and you will be asked to review the health & safety terms one final time. You will then be advised on which protective gear to wear as well as provided with a safety demonstration of the chamber. Then you will go for your treatment.
Bring with you long socks, shorts/leggings and a T-shirt. Ladies should bring a sports bra, as the metal that is in most normal bras will be harmful if it gets too cold. Similarly, jewellry will need to be removed before entering the chamber.
There is parking near our building, but no guarantee of spaces as they are pay & display. There are plenty of parking lots within walking distance of our unit.
Luckily, we have a lovely coffee shop and restaurant right next to our office block called Nova Scotia. Given that we are situated right on the Albert Dock, there are many coffee shops and restaurants for you to choose from.
Cryotherapy appointments are available Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm and Saturdays 12pm - 3pm. If you are looking for earlier or later appointments please email booking@flowrecovery.com and we will see what we can do to accommodate you.
Out cryotherapy suite is supervised by a fully insured Sports Therapist who has conducted training with all members of staff. We have full liability insurance too.
If you have any of the following, you should not partake in Cryotherapy:
Untreated high blood pressure
Heart attack (within previous 6 months) or conditions related to heart surgery
Congestive heart failure
COPD
Chronic liver disease
Unstable Angina Pectoris (chest pain)
Pacemaker
Valvular or Ischemic Heart Disease
Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or known circulatory dysfunction
Acute febrile illness (such as flu)
Acute kidney and urinary tract diseases Severe Anemia
Cold Allergenic Phenomenon (known allergy to cold contacts)
Uncontrolled seizure disorders
Bacterial and viral infections of the skin
Wound healing disorders (open sores or discharging wound/skin conditions)
Alcohol or drug related inebriation
Advanced Raynaud's Disease
Polyneuropathies
